Linda and Russell have volunteered to lead this walk near Caldas De Monchique. The walk is around 10kms
approximately 2 1/2 hours. Start time 10am. Meeting point: Foz Do Banho restaurant. The usual Geoff
rules apply, no charge, walk at your own risk. There is a steady climb at the start of the walk. We feel
it is a grade 3 energetic. If people are interested we can have lunch at the Café Imperio after the walk
allegedly the best Piri Piri chicken in the area, around 12 euros for the meal with drinks.

Directions: From Lagoa: drive West along the N125 to the Monchique turn off at Portimao. Drive up the
N266 towards Monchique for about 13kms until you see restaurant Foz Do Banho on the left side of the

After a few last minute cancellations 11 of us had a very nice walk in glorious sunshine. Followed by the best piri piri at cafe Imperio. Rod, Gail, Paul, Janete, Mary, Barb, Terry, Jill, Ozzie, Linda and Russell. Thanks all for a very enjoyable day out.
