Ferry back to uk

Post by williew »

Don’t know if this affects anyone else but it was on FB
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR UK NATIONALS:

From the British Embassy:

FERRY PASSENGERS USING SANTANDER & BILBAO

A number of messages have been posted on this page referring to the suspension of passenger ferry services from Santander and Bilbao.

As you might expect, since the outbreak of Coronavirus/COVID-19, we have been working closely with our colleagues in the FCO in London, who, in turn, have been liaising with other UK government departments, including the Department for Transport. The matter of ferry services is one for the ferry service providers, and we are aware that there are no current plans for the provision of an exceptional passenger ferry service from these Spanish ports.

However, it would be helpful to us to have a clearer understanding of the number of people still in Portugal who are/were booked to travel from Santander or Bilbao and are still looking to take this route home.

If this is you, please email us at Portugal.notarial@fco.gov.uk with your name, number of people, planned date of travel, your ferry operator and scheduled port of departure.

We emphasise that, at this time, this is an information gathering exercise only, and ferry operations remain the domain of the service providers. Thank you.
