Mags and Wendy will be leading this walk. We will be walking from Monte Ruivo near Odiaxere into the interio. The walk is approximately 9 - 10 kms with a gentle climb initially, then undulating paths with some good views to the coast in the far distance. Numbers are limited as we will be walking in 2 x groups of 5 or 6. The usual rules apply: wear suitable footwear, bring a drink, walk at your own risk, no charge and please respect social distancing.
Meeting point: The windmill at Odiaxere. Meeting time: 10:00 am.

Directions: Drive along the EN125 towards Lagos. As you come into Odiaxere you pass a Farmacia on your left, then there are traffic lights/pedestrian crossing, turn right here. Go past the market along the road to a square. You will see the windmill on the right hand side of the road. There is room to pull over in front of the windmill or there is parking around the square. GPS for the windmill: 37 09 04.0" N 8 39 29 3"W or 37.151096-8.658126.
There is a cafe in the square if you would like coffee before the walk. The cafe does a prata da dia if anyone wishes to stay for lunch after. We will drive further on for 5 mins to the start of the walk at Monte Ruivo. Contact on the day is: 0044 796 0552618

Mike - just turn up on Monday. We can walk in a 6 and 5, the new rules stated 6 people. We usually get last minute cancellations.
