Walk – Monday 3rd May Pedreira, Silves

As there are still some covid restrictions for Portimao, Linda and Russell rest again this week from leading a walk
So Wendy and Steve will be leading this one in the Silves district. It’s 10kms, just over 2 hours. It has a gradual climb on a loose path. There is one steep climb up to the ridge onto a section of the Algarve way.
Current restrictions limit the numbers, a maximum of 12 people in 2 x group of 6 walkers.
The usual rules apply: wear suitable footwear, bring a drink, a walking pole if you use it, no charge, walk at your own risk and respect the social distancing rules.
Meeting point: Cafe Retiro Dos Pescadores
Meeting Time: 10am. The cafe should be open for coffee. We will then drive for a couple of minutes to the start of the walk.
Directions: Go over the Silves bridge and turn right onto the N124 and drive for about 4.9kms, past 2 cafes, Casa de Pasta a Norinha and Taberna da Norinha, both on the left hand side of the road. Turn left at a sign saying: Pedreira, Pinheiro e Garrado and drive for 0.4kms then turn left and meet at Cafe Retiro dos Pescadores.
