Travelling to portugal
Hi all,
I’m coming out to carvoeiro this Friday. If I have the NHS COVID travel pass do I still need to have a PCR test ? I can’t seem to find out if portugal accepts the NHS vaccine certificate .

Re: Electricity
Thank you for the reply. It’s a lot more expensive. By my reckoning you are paying 384euros per year compared to my 110euros, that’s about 3x more expensive to have the extra power. Most of the time I am not going to need that extra power.

Electricity
Hi All, This is a follow up question to my winter heating posts. Can anyone tell me a bit more about Potencia on your electric bills. On my bill I have 6.9kva, which I think is the lowest amount. This is fine for holiday use but if you want to run multiple heaters and appliances it is not sufficient...

Re: Winter heating
Hi Alf,
Was Jason from Euro cooling? If he wasn’t would you mind sharing his details? Would you also mind giving me an idea of price for the units and the fitting charge? Thank you for your reply it’s very helpful getting other people’s opinions.

Re: Winter heating
Thank you so much for your reply. Air con is another option as pre installation was put in when the property was built. The reason I hadn’t considered it was the expense of running. I have presumed that air con is a lot more expensive to run. The other down side is the ugly outside units. I have nev...

Winter heating
Hi all, I’m after some recommendations for heating.i have a 2 bed town house and could do with some heating for occasional winter stays. Does anyone have an idea of how much wafer radiators would be to install? Pros and cons. Or whether it would be better to install air con, I’m not sure which would...

Wanted a set of ladies right handed golf clubs
Does anyone have a set of ladies clubs they no longer use and would like to sell?
I’d like to have a set in Portugal and rather lugging them out from UK I thought I’d see if I could buy a second hand set .
Thank you

Wanted ladies Golf Clubs
Hi All,
Does anyone have a decent set of ladies golf clubs they would like to sell? Right handed. I would like to have a set in Portugal rather than bringing them over from UK.
Thank you

Re: Lawyer Recommendations Please Sept 2018
I can also highly recommend Maria. Charming lady who makes the buying process easy. She explained everything thing to us in an easy format. Her costs are very reasonable. She acts as our fiscal representative and she hasn’t put her prices up in 9 years. She goes out of her way to be helpful and we c...

Hi All, can anyone recommend a cleaner that would be available for occasional job? I don’t need a regular person just someone I could employ as and when needed. Many thanks

Re: Sesimbra and Natinal Park
Just come back from our visit to Sesimbra and thought I would do a little review for those that might be thinking of going. Sesimbra has a lovely horse shoe bay, very safe bathing so suitable for all the family. The promenade is flat and easily walkable but the rest of the town is built on a steep i...

Roof terraces
I am in the need of a bit of advice. I have noticed that some of the tiles on our room terrace have cracked and are loose. Is this likely to cause water to get in? Can anyone recommend a tradesman that is capable of repairing or completely re-tiling the roof? Any ideas on how big a job this is? I th...

Sesimbra and Natinal Park
I am thinking of a short trip to Sesimbra and visiting the National Park. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations?
