When my twin boys were in primary school they had to sing Cliff Richards' song - The Millenium Prayer for their Christmas concert. I listened to them rehersing one night and they came out with "Our Father, who art in heaven, Harold is his name". Maybe I should have taken them to church more!

I remember it well. I served my time as a parent in pre-primaria. I seem to remember I was Minnie Mouse and in charge of stopping the traffic. Lovely memories. My babies are 16 now, mind you, you're never too old for carnival! Enjoy! Wish I was there to see it.

SOS - B1D

As you have always provided such brilliant cooking advice (does it help if I creep?) Do you have a easy(ish) recipe for Folar. I know its not Easter but my kids love it and my better half is having withdrawal symptons. I've pulled a few recipies off the internet but they seem quite complicated. Any ...

Its strange how things change. We've got lots of relatives in Cascais, just outside Lisbon and it was always cheaper to buy tickets to Faro and drive up, now it seems the opposite is true.

My husband is Portuguese and I'm always trying to find recipies to remind him of home. Please, please go ahead with your book, I'm sure many more people are interested. The way you described that recipie was really good, easy to read and I could picture it in my mind. You've certainly got the knack....

Hi Lotte,

To be honest, we've always done it the other way around. My husband's family all live just outside Lisbon and we find it cheaper to fly to Faro and hire a car from there. Interested to see what other people come up with.

When we first arrived in Carvoeiro in 1980 it was with the intention of opening a bar. On researching it deeper we found there were a huge amount of bars in a relatively small area. We decided if we were to stick with the idea of a bar it was going to have to be something amazing or totally differen...
