I remember it well. I served my time as a parent in pre-primaria. I seem to remember I was Minnie Mouse and in charge of stopping the traffic. Lovely memories. My babies are 16 now, mind you, you're never too old for carnival! Enjoy! Wish I was there to see it.

Its strange how things change. We've got lots of relatives in Cascais, just outside Lisbon and it was always cheaper to buy tickets to Faro and drive up, now it seems the opposite is true.

My husband is Portuguese and I'm always trying to find recipies to remind him of home. Please, please go ahead with your book, I'm sure many more people are interested. The way you described that recipie was really good, easy to read and I could picture it in my mind. You've certainly got the knack....

To be honest, we've always done it the other way around. My husband's family all live just outside Lisbon and we find it cheaper to fly to Faro and hire a car from there. Interested to see what other people come up with.
