Maddi, I know you weren’t replying to me but you made a general statement that I thought could be added upon. Being “a little belligerent and somewhat aggressive”. I just thought to ask you clarification stated on your previous post and what you think is the “environmental impact” of golf courses, a...

Maddi, Great point you inadvertantly raised. Don't forget to add the foreign golfers from outside the EU that likes to come to Europe and enjoy the vast variety of golf courses (and I guess add to the local economy paying usually premium prices not only for the golf green fees, but hotels, restos, c...

Maddi, Tiny Tim I assume you are not talking about me. Maddi I don't know, you tell me? What I can be sure is I am not talking about myself. I consider myself a pretty reasonable person when it comes to the environment. I recycle paper, glass, aluminum, cardboard, batterys, utilize cloths as much as...

Graham, Thanks for laying it out plain and simple. I'm afraid alot of this golf course bashing is not necessarily with the better interests of the environment, but a typical reaction of the "watermelon " brigade parading as environmentalists. Guest Show me the people who can just go out and buy golf...

Very pleasant staff at Tivoli Almansor, great guys behind the bar, Tony Jr. a bit of a miss, and avoid at all costs the Almansor buffet at night. Maybe O Stop will be reopened for the season. Praia Centiannes Beach, really family atmosphere and great folk there. Its just down the road from Tivoli, o...

Gambrinus If both holes drill into the same underground deposit, they will start using that water. The water level will drop if it does not get replenished and the shallower hole runs dry quicker. When close to the coastline, seawater can then replace this sweet water if/when it drops away far enoug...

Guest, yes the bore hole went dry a year after the golf course became operational.....i understand that their boreholes (pestanta) have now gone salty.
