We visited Villamoura also - and it was quiet also.

I think it is likely the entire Euro zone may be suffering from fewer and lower spending UK visitors. Clearly, the recession is biting every where also.

Just back yesterday from 12 nights in CVO - missing the sunshine/heat already! :cry: We'd a lovely villa (Casa Camaleao) up by the old windmill/Collina Village area. Gorgeous villa, well-equipped and an awesome heated 10mx5m pool. Ready supply of oranges, lemons, limes and pears in the garden also. ...

Both cheap and reliable - I would recommend them

The UK banks - especially Barclays - will do well from the stress tests. Lloyds will fair worst of all.

I think the £ should get a boost from this news this week.

We're back in CVO (hopefully) in October - flights booked/accomm isn't. We haven't been since 2006. I am expecting increases - it is four years on after all - but some posts are making me think of another resort/town to avoid expensive eateries also. I have also seen - in my opinion - some unrealist...

Some of the comments re costs on CVO are making me consider another resort tbh.

We were last in CVO in October 2006 .. and I'm fearing prices might be a shock!

I won a fully expensed week to CdL (for 4 - apartment) in 2004 - it was superb, and we returned in 2005 (to the Villas). I would highly recommend it - as I did to the OP. It is immaculate, and the accommodation is very spacious. Definitely worth considering IMHO. I think it was top resort in CVO in ...
