Best meal - l'orange (and no service problems at all) Most fun meal - chicken george which we tried at last after many years and thoroughly enjoyed as a welcome change and good food...

Thank you for your replies and help, although I must admit to feeling like I've just had a session with the Spanish Inquisition  the reason I did not try FAQs is that when I put it into 'search' nothing showed except a very old newsletter, and had it been there I would have expected it to show....

villa rental august 2006

Hi, I have had a look at the rentals section but it is difficult to find villas in a specific area if you do not know the villa name :? Does anyone have a 3/4 detached villa with pool for rent for 2 weeks around 19/8 ? We are very frequent visitors ( were nearly owners but that is another story :( )...

:( I would enquire very carefully about this. It does look nice and the quality of fittings seemed good when we looked around. but 3 years down the line they have still failed to build the villa we thought we were buying ( number chosen and all- luckily no money involved just a lot of dreams  )...

:) Many thanks for your reply, that does make sense. We were surprised that the problem arose going home rather than coming in. We will come armed with suitable letters this year just in case. Strange though that some airlines will accept children on their own from 14 years but no mention is ever ma...

other people's children

:? When we came over last year we brought 2 'extras' with us to keep our teenage darlings happy. On our way home, whilst going through passport control at faro, our guests were stopped by the officials and when they explained they were with us we were asked for letters of consent for them to travel ...

:( no, I am afraid there are probably quite a few of us who still have just the good old fashioned pink bit of paper with no photo. However we come over at least once a year and have always been able to hire cars based on our crumbling antiques with no problem :) mardre ( who is now trying to book a...
