Re: Ponto de Encontro, or something like that!

After we decided to go back to give this restaurant another try ( we had a poor meal at the beginning of the year). I am sorry but we will not be going back there again. The starter was very good but both main courses were poor - the service was very slow and had to give a sweet and coffee a miss as...

Re: Vill Arade - Ferragudo

We ate here a couple of weeks ago - the food was faultless - superb choice on the menu and the setting was lovely. Would certainly recommend this - it was really nice to see Pedro again and hope that his venture will be a success. We will certainly be back again on our next visit.

Re: Ponto de Encontro, or something like that!

We ate here at Christmas - I am sorry but never again. There was only one other table in the restaurant other than a table of relatives of the staff.

The soup was tepid. The fish grey and badly cooked. The chicken was overcooked. Coffee was ok.

Re: Christmas flights Ryanair

When this was first introduced it did rlate to a carrier bag which was purchased through airport shopping - after security. When we were at the airport a couple of weeks ago there was a new smaller cage obviously for these smaller bags such as handbags etc - they cannot be put in the overhead locker...

Re: property rental licence

I need an EPC doing on a property just outside Carvoeiro does anyone have a recommendation as I have a quotation of 295 euros which for a one bedroomed apartment is in my opinion excessive as it four times higher than you would pay in the UK.

Re: Are things getting better or Not ??

The property is owned by Vila Vita and has been occupied by their owners for some time and they are doing a considerable amount of remodeling. They aappear to have diverted the river bed in order to extend their garden and also provide further grounds around the indoor pool? which has been built. We...

Re: " New Intermarche "

I totally agree with Bruce Wallis in that the floor is an accident waiting to happen. I appreciate that the floor is not finished but when I was in there last week I could feel my feet slipping slightly on the floor and it wasn't even wet.

Re: Flight prices

I have been looking at the flight prices for the end of February after the half term ends and find that compared to last year they are almost treble what we paid then. I have looked at several airports not only East Midlands - which appears to be the highest in price. The early flight time when retu...

Re: Vila Nova - new fixed price menu!

We visited last Friday evening and were quite surprised to see how many people were in the restaurant when we arrived. The fixed price menu looked excellent value for money but we decided that we couldn't manage the three courses and decided to have the main menu instead. The service was excellent a...

Re: Best cheap lunch

We ate at Vimar last week and found that it was excellent value for money. The choice for the main course was restricted to a meat or fish dish only but the starters and desserts had a number. Would certainly go again and will probably try a few more of these now.

Re: Easyjet winter flights from Bristol are out.

Both Ryan Air and BMI Baby have not yet released their flights further than the 22nd October out of East Midlands but if they make cuts on the amount of flights that they had this year then it will ne almost non existent. Jet 2 dont fly out of EMA during the winter months either and we might be left...

Re: Buying Bathroom wall and floor tiles

Hello We have bought our tiles from Socoporches who do keep quite a few in stock and if they have to be ordered they are usually in within one to two weeks. They have moved premises in Porches and have changed their name - can't remember what it is now called but it is the new building which runs pa...
