haha.....wish i'd read the previous comments sooner. Went there on Saturday and was totally underwhelmed,took the grand daughter in her buggy but couldn't push her around because of the loose stones,so we left after 2 minutes. Shall not be tempted next year

Another option would to have installed 4x p.v. panels (1kw approx) at a cost of €2,000 +/- to feed into the electric supply,which would reduce the amount of electricity used from the edp...effectively pool pump would run for free and when the pump wasn't being used the panels could run the beer frid...

12k sounds very high,depending on what you were actually quoted for.
In Portugal they allow you to install upto 6 panels (1.5kw/hr) before the need to register.this system is called "U-PAC" and just feeds into your supply reducing your
consumption from the EDP.
The cost of 6 panels is approx €3,000
