Happys - dispassionate appraisal!

Post by biffa »

I can't encourage myself to rave about Happys although I know why it is popular. Food nice enough, Portions nice enough, bill nice enough.

Happys is a place to go and eat, it is never going to be some gastronomical experience in my view, however I have never found poor food or bad service.

The owner is over friendly though and certainly I think English people in particular may find that unnecessary.

But !

Post by M »

i have never heard of food being undercooked at happy's , nor pricy. but if you had mentioned it in the restaurant, i'm sure Libbe would have taken it straight back to the kitchen, he wants everybody to feel at home away from home, which brings me to the humor part: sure not everybody likes the jokes of the owner, but again, he thinks he's doing it right, it's his act (or behaving) so either you like it, or you don't, in which case you either stay away , or come again and take it like it is...

Someone was asking if Happy's is for sale. Have a look in this site under businesses for sale!

If you don't come out of Happy's with a smile on your face, you don't need a hoilday. Well done, Libbe and Sandra; a great little business and a pleasure to meet you both. :D
