A fish called salema ?

We today bought a fish called 'salema' in Continente.

It was fresh, from the North Atlantic, very tasty and one fish at 4 euros was sufficient for 4 people - excellent value !!

But what was it ?

Can anybody help with the English name for it ?

Roy, if its the same as I think it is, then the English name for them is ... yes, Salema.

But, perhaps you may be suffering from some delusions after eating it.

Eeeeeeeeedicky - what a load of cods wallop. We hate an hole one betwen thw 4 ofsu (caroland her hasbrand)and sho for it as ad no effect

If youv never ad cods wallop you shud -its quiet fishy.

and theres me thinking fish is brain food!

I ate a fish called 'Sofia' once and then discovered that the Portuguese woman who cooked it for me was saying 'swordfish'

Salema sounds a bit like Salome..didn't she have a strange effect on men?
