Hi,
We use Grana Padano made by Galbani. My wife says it's near enough identical, and I've not noticed a difference.

Many thanks is it easy to find ?

We find that the acores cheeses are a good match for cheddar as they range from mild to v strong , it grates well and melts comsistently.
Are there Portuguese blue cheeses ?

Intermarche and Continente both sell Portugese blue cheese on the fresh deli counter, its about 9 euro's a kilo and is very good. One has a blue wrapper the other a green one we think the blue one has a better flavour.
