Wedding Blessing

Hello, I would like to have my Marriage blessed in the chapel of Our Lady of Incarnation in May 2004. Does anyone know of a Priest in the Carvoeiro area that would be able to do this for me, and who hopefully speaks English. Iam holidaying near this area in May with a number of friends and really need to find out this information. Thanks.

Im sure you will get some guidance from others here Liz and sincerely hope you get your wish.
Its a lovely time of year to marry or for a blessing ceremony--my daughter marries on May 1st---not in CVO unfortunately!---and Im so looking forward to it(long as they dont expect me to wear hat!)

Someone named Linda Potgieter married there in the latter half of last year and has posted about her experience, the organisation, etc on this sight, details of which you can find if you do a search from the front page.

I immediately thought that Linda would be the best person to advise you however, your query prompted me to note that despite being a frequent poster up to her wedding, and having posted her wedding report, I do not appear to have seen her on here since.

We too are having a wedding blessing in the Algarve (September) and have found David Chester from Lagos to be most helpful and willing to undertake the job!! He is English and has been in Lagos for a few years.

Thanks Geoff, although I have to say I thought of that but as someone happy to post as Linda previously, I thought it was unlikely that she wouldn't be Linda now (albeit with a different surname).
