Bars in Carvoeiro
Bars in Carvoeiro
Hi
I am new to the forum so hope i am doing this right!
We have been coming to Carvoeiro for a few years now and we are coming out again in September. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me about some nice friendly/ lively (ish) bars that have a good atmosphere. I have read that Rachel has moved up restuarant hill so i will be going there as we have enjoyed ourselves there before. We do not want anything 'rowdy' just somewhere that is 'fun'
Many thanks

Very remiss of people Purple. Most of them are squabbling over whether the square looks better or have they ripped the heart out of it, I strongly believe they have, but don't fancy getting my head bitten off if I post my comments on that thread. Just got back and Irish Times, the bars surrounding Mungo's, Brady's and the new bar opposite Brady's, The Black Stove would probably all work out well. Have a great time.

Just back after a glorious 2 weeks of R & R. I have to say that The Jailhouse was our pub of choice. Bobby and Pat are a great double act with their crooning, slagging and excellent guitar playing. Customer participation is encouraged and highly recommended !!!!!!!!!

Hi
Thanks everyone for your replies.
I will give them all a go!!!
We are going out the first week in September. We normally go towards the end and it is quite quiet. Is the 1st week normally still quite busy?

It was last year purple as was June, but this year I would expect it to be quieter, it's a great time to go as all the ankle biters have normally gone home
Re: Bars in Carvoeiro
Jailhouse is one of our favs too. Boa Vida next to Casa do Bife on left side - half way up Restaurant Hill fits you criteria and Raol the owner is great! Also, Smilers for some afternoon people watching and sun tanning. Enjoy and welcome to the Forum.

Gary and I wil be out from the 1st week Sept also with some of our family. Usually end the night at Hemmingway's, def. cocktails at Rachel and Segio's Bar Talvez at the start of the evening between 6:30 and 7pm. The best in town in my opinion, the Strawberry Dakari is to die for.
