Please help me decide!

Please please help me with a decision. Have been let down on previous plans for summer holiday. Now left it bit late to organise. Hope to come away middle of August - 16th/17th for two weeks with hubby and son aged 8. Been to Portugal once before, loved it. Since then been holidaying in Greek Isles. Wanna come back to Algarve but no nothing bout Carvoeiro. Is is a good family resort - whats it really like - is there restaurants for fussy eater (my son the nugget and pizza king). Accommodation, whats best place to find two bed apartment near sea.
Just some really good, honest general advise would be great.

Carvoeiro has everything you could want.
Its great for children and adults alike. Plenty of things for your 8 yr old to do, from Water Parks to Zoo Marine. Fabulous beaches and super restaurants. Don't worry for a moment about the food for your son - one of the things we really like about the Algarve is that most restaurants, do kids menu's, yes the usual, chicken nuggets and pizza's, but they will also do smaller portions of main meals - great to try and get children to experiment a bit. As for accomodation, our apartment is full during the school holidays, as I suspect most are, but you could contact Kteee on this site, she has got some good contacts.
