Can anyone advise me on how to get from Faro airport to Carvoeiro cheaply. I can't drive and want to have monet left to spend on my holiday so am worried about taxi fares.

Anyone know how much a taxi from airport to Carvoero would cost? or are there any cheapoer options? please help

Hi David

I have a similar predicament and so asked the same question on here a couple of weeks ago. It seems that there is no direct bus from Faro to CVO (you have to catch one from the airport to Faro town centre, catch another from there to some other random place, and then ANOTHER from RP to Carvoeiro!) so the best bet is to book a taxi beforehand to save you getting ripped off. I used the service advertised on this website - it costs 50 euros which is about 33 quid and the journey takes about an hour. If you're sharing, this is pretty reasonable and you avoid the hassle of having to sort everything out once you get there.

We usually pre book taxi before arrival and the journey time takes 35 mins-45mins max depending on driver

Cost very similar to previous posting.

If you can pool together 8 people, you could book a transfer for € 65, every person will have to pay a little over € 8.

Alternatively, a transfer for 4 costs € 45, every person would have to pay a little over € 11.

This only works on big arrival days, where you would actually be able to find 8 people from the same flight going to the same place, but hey...
