I have to admit, the family and I are big fans of the eurovision, its got to be one of the highlights of the year. Wogan gets better each time especially when the votes are coming in. I did hear the UK entry, didnt think much of it though-one of the people who didnt win one of those pop idol type competitions or something.

I think this should be re-named the Eurovision Music Festival because it is no longer about the song or the singer but the kind of show that they could put on. The Ukraine song was not a song but a shout and chant, but they put on a good show. And the voting was even more political than usual with alot of higher points going to neighbours of the voting country or allies. And why were all 36 countries voting when only 24 were in the final.
Terry Wogan was his usual great self and was on the drink after the 3rd song instead of waiting til the usual 12th, But we thought the Turkish song was a scream .... a bit of Madness crept in there somewhere.definately choreographed by Suggs.

…..never had any enthusiasm for the event…..until now…after you guys talking about it…..and well I had nothing else on… so…. I got hooked….watched it from beginning to end!!!……and when I saw Ukraine they had my support…..and…then 36 countries voting??…I had no idea there were so many countries in Europe…. they won!!!…..justice…and yes, Turkey……am I right in saying they are the only Muslim country involved?….anarchy!!!…with the Jonnie Rotten trousers, the pork pie hat…a bit of madness with a capital m ……ha…ha….a “scream”……but endearing……and what happened to Portugal??…….consider themselves too rock n roll these days….do they…what, with this Rock in Rio….maybe they’re above such frivolity…….
