 OK come on then you lot, it is nearly Eurovision time again, when for some stupid reason the UK always thiks it has a song that will win, then finds that no one will vote for us anyway.
So what do you all think? who do you reckon is going to win and does anyone really care!?! Lets have some fun with this one then............

lesley Jean,
Cant believe its that time of year again.

Havent heard any of the entries actually so cant be of much use here

Of course we care - it's one of the best comedies on t.v. and Tel gets better and better. We will be downing plenty of wine too and laughing at the lyrics on sub titles and of course cheering on Portugal - are they in it? who is in it this year? :? Hope the bars in Cvo. will be televising it

Its on Saturday night, and yes I agree its worth watching just to hear
Terry Wogan's sarky comments and see how diabolical the other presenters are, great fun. Someone on the radio today asked if the Eurovison would soon become trendy as its a kind of retro thing?

I have to admit, the family and I are big fans of the eurovision, its got to be one of the highlights of the year. Wogan gets better each time especially when the votes are coming in. I did hear the UK entry, didnt think much of it though-one of the people who didnt win one of those pop idol type competitions or something.

How many cross dressers will be in it this year? . And I don't mean those who are angry at the make up artist.

If it's a retro deal, then shouldn't we have Sandy Shaw doing here puppet on string thing?

 Portugal did not get past the semi-final stage last night! The songs that did get through though are pretty poor - it will be good for a laugh after a few pints!! Nil points for us again! but watch out for the Greek entry with Bucks Fizz elements in their routine!!

I think this should be re-named the Eurovision Music Festival because it is no longer about the song or the singer but the kind of show that they could put on. The Ukraine song was not a song but a shout and chant, but they put on a good show. And the voting was even more political than usual with alot of higher points going to neighbours of the voting country or allies. And why were all 36 countries voting when only 24 were in the final.
Terry Wogan was his usual great self and was on the drink after the 3rd song instead of waiting til the usual 12th, But we thought the Turkish song was a scream .... a bit of Madness crept in there somewhere.definately choreographed by Suggs.

…..never had any enthusiasm for the event…..until now…after you guys talking about it…..and well I had nothing else on… so…. I got hooked….watched it from beginning to end!!!……and when I saw Ukraine they had my support…..and…then 36 countries voting??…I had no idea there were so many countries in Europe…. they won!!!…..justice…and yes, Turkey……am I right in saying they are the only Muslim country involved?….anarchy!!!…with the Jonnie Rotten trousers, the pork pie hat…a bit of madness with a capital m ……ha…ha….a “scream”……but endearing……and what happened to Portugal??…….consider themselves too rock n roll these days….do they…what, with this Rock in Rio….maybe they’re above such frivolity…….
