pre holiday blues?

sunday morning, reading the newspaper and listening to the radio i asked my wife to close the living room door as the noise from the washing machine, the tumble dryer (and then she started hoovering) was spoiling my concentration.
I must say i was shocked by her reaction!
I realise she works full time but i did mention she should try to do a bit of housework of an evening after she,s cooked the dinner.......
after twenty four years of marriage and thirty years in the building industry i was taken aback by the amont of abuse coming my way.

with only five weeks to go before we arrive in cvo to which we are both really looking forward to,
do i put this this outburst down to pre holiday blues?
