Golf MAr restaurants

Post by kennycapes »

Hi all,

This year we are returning to CVO after 3 years exploring other parts of the Algarve. We have been a total of 10 times now and have always loved it. This year though we are staying at Golf Mar instead of the Monte CVO side and have never really explored restauarants that head out to the north or east. I dont mean to travel far but wonder if anyone has stayed this area before and what are the restaurants like around here.

Many thanks
KC

Welcome to the other side of Carvoeiro. There are lots of lovely places to go nearby. Our favourites are O Rafaoil for amazing rack of lamb and pork fillet. Just past the entrance to Rocha Brave is Jardim do Farol lovely local place need to book always busy. Walk about 15mins to Mona Lisa great pizzas not expensive,O Stop at the beach great sardines lovely for lunch and bfast. Venture out of town to Benagil and go to Lamys and drinks and WiFi at RBCafe what more can you ask for? Enjoy.

Julio's which is a couple of minutes down the road is nice. The beach bar at Centianes beach is a nice place to sit for lunch or an evening drink. Although in the summer I imagine it will be very busy!

Agree with Rayeileen's suggestions but our absolute favourite walk to restaurant is Vale de Milho. Typical Portuguese menu but very good quality and are always more than happy to vary the dishes to your preferences. Fernando the head waiter is charming and always helpful. There is also a lovely terrace to sit outside during the summer.

Enjoy!
