Back today from a month out there and certainly shed loads of people but all seem to be walking to the town square and not spending, bars pretty empty on the hill - easy to get a seat outside most. Square very busy at night

Monte Carvoeiro has got its entertainment act together with live music 4 nights a week all varied and good, its busier than previous years with all 4 bars and 6 restaurants doing ok. Manoels Kat Blu on Sunday is very busy and old Reente is smiling.

Dve is still in The Jailhouse, was in the early years of Smokey and is still a good place to wind down

lol ive got two weeks to spread the hangovers over kidding. im not really a big drinker, ill prob just go for one or two drinks in a few of those places, just want to try them out since i didnt really have the chance last time we visited

Havana Bar had a great 2for1 happy hour on cocktails when we were over in June.

Jailhouse is still one of the highlights, for us, of a stay in Carvoeiro...don't mention it to Michael Crane though....it's run by Dave and Karen, though he also answers to " Bobby Stardust" : I think he did some session work with Smokey once.
Well recommended.

Sullys? According to several ground of young friends who have stayed with me over the past few years it is the place you can purchase and take drugs very easily, is on the radar of the GNER and most locals steer clear of unless they enjoy a bit of an argument every now and then.

Me - I've never entered the place and don't intend to do so - I am sure plenty on here will tell you it is simply splendid.
