Cinema listings - Algarve shopping

Post by Davido »

Can anybody assist me in finding out the cinema listings for Algarve Shopping and advise whether or not the film dialogue is in English or Portugese.

Thanks in anticipation.

Cinecartaz is the best website for cinema listings (it doesn't seem to have an English option but it's quite easy to navigate). Here is the direct link for Algarve Shopping: http://cinecartaz.publico.pt/Cinema/Details/30236

The general rule is all films are in English (or original language) with Portuguese subtitles, except for animations, which will be listed as V.Por.

They also have their own facebook page with announcements in both English and Portuguese.

The Castellolopes site is a good one for listings, which change every Thursday by the way

As a rule, childrens movies, Disney's etc show in Portuguese

Adult movies show in English with Portuguese subtitles unless the letters 'V.P.' [version Portuguese] appear next to the listing

Often the same movie appears on 2 screens, one normally V.O. [version original], one V.P.

(not that we go very much 8) )

I must admit my wife and I go to the Cinema just about every time we visit CVO sounds a bit boring but we enjoy it,at one time maybe 5/6 years ago it was an inexpensive night out however with the rise of the euro against the pound it's not quite good value as it used to be.My wife still love's the meal out afterwards at Mc donalds cheap git or what? :D :D :D
