i saw the film "That'll Be The Day", starring David Essex, 6 times in one day with my first serious girlfriend so that song brings back great memories for me

Does anybody remember a group called "Family" in the 70's? (lead singer Roger Chapman I believe). One of their records that I particularly liked was called "Burlesque". Many people I have spoken to about this haven't even heard of the group let alone the record - until last week that is. I mentioned it to a colleague at work and he had actually downloaded it from the internet. As soon as I heard it again I was transported back in time (1972 to be precise  )

What on earth is a 'choon'? Or is the long way of saying tune?

Sorry to get back to you so late Tiko - I will try your radio station sounds like it plays all the tunes that I like to hear. Take no notice of "guest" - I knew exactly what you meant without the sarcasm

Cheers :)

Not mine mr Tiko! :x
Im becoming increasingly annoyed at the deliberate "Crippling" of the English language!
To my mind its the greatest of all languages and seeing it used so (in your posting)I despair! By "choon" I suppose you mean "Tune"? Well why not write it as it should be written? But as you sound very young and may not know any better I will make allowances, this time :!:
If we do nothing to halt this deterioration of the English tongue it will slowly become abbreviated to mere shorthand and one that is absolutely meaningless :x
I have trouble enough understanding some of the spoken word now which is often just a "grunt" or short speak
I will not let our beautiful language be desecrated in such a way without putting up a fight

Yes Tricky....Wot part did you play? If you really was in "That'll be the day". I thought David Essex was gorgeous then, he could have left his slippers under my bed anytime! Not so sure about you though, If you were in the film, I might have had dreams about you too!!
