Flight prices xmas from Manchester and Liverpool

Post by PTBUXTON »

   Having spent the last 2 years coming to CVO over the Christmas/Early New Year period my wife and I were looking forward to making it 3 in a row, alas due to flight prices this year it look's like we will be stopping at home this year.In previous years the cost has been around the £170, £180 return which was not too bad, this year however prices seem to have rocketed £250 is the cheapest we have found Ryanair through Liverpool,Manchester is nearer to £300 return,we have tried all the usual web sites, last count 12.We have even considered Stanstead which would mean a 300 mile round trip, anyway just thought I'd share that little moan with you all.

Have you considered Leeds Bradford as both Monarch and Jet 2 fly out of there in the winter

Just looked on Skyscanner

Manchester 30/12 to 8/1 £ 147
" 18/12 to 1/1 £ 198
Liverpool 22/12 to 2/1 £ 196

The main problem as always is return fares before 8th January.

Surely if you enjoy it then £140 extra isn't that bad.only 38p/day over the year,go for it you will regret it if you don't
