The post was 'what would you like to see in CVO in 2015. Some good ideas were flowing but now turned into a general discussion

I would like to see more benches in the square and an events schedule. The festivals this year were great and starting to get a great atmosphere again.
Some ideas to attract more visitors in winter too

I would also like to see more seating in the square I really miss the round seat that was there before the revamp. I am not. Sure that the restaurants w ant more seating because they want people to use them for seating.

its academic whether seating works as people just stand in the square blocking the view from the restaurants, so the 'paying' audience actually lose out - its ironic!

Donkeys - not a bad idea. Would definitely work at Vale Centannes

Still need ideas to attract visitors in winter, but at least Tivoli is opening earlier this year

But they've done away with the evening entertainment, well at least they did last year. :(

Wouldn't it be rather cruel to have donkeys standing around in the scorching heat in July and August - ignoring the sun, the sands are too hot to stand on.

Hi Pato
There was entertainment on the square from 1 June to end of Sept (at least the nights I ventured down between those dates) and also a black & white event in June and 'end of summer' party on Aug bank holiday. Not everyones cup of tea maybe and some nights just a DJ.
It needs to start earlier to capture the May school hols.

A few years ago there was an Abba tribute band who really got the square dancing, thats the type of thing it needs.

I'd like to see the restaurants in the square offering an excellent value fixed price lunch along the lines that you can get in most other resorts. The restaurants in Ferragudo have adopted this approach and the square there is now busy through the day whereas once it was pretty deserted in daytime. Also the added competition with the extra custom has forced some of them to up their game. They withdraw the special menu in the evening and just have their full a la carte menus but that is fine.
