Faro Airport
Faro Airport
I'm due to pick up family at the airport soon,if I pick up under the canopy near the terminal do I have to get a ticket at the barrier and then pay to get out?
Re: Faro Airport
I'm pretty sure that you get a ticket & you are allowed 10 minutes free then after 10 minutes you get charged, from my memory it is not a lot after you go over the free 10 minute period.

Re: Faro Airport
Be careful, they have now divided the road into Pickup and Dropoff.
BOTH of these go through a set of barriers where you get the first 10 mins free.
For Drop off, its under the canopy (as before) and you need to keep right as you enter the airport.
This route for cars is shown in RED in the picture below.
For Pick up, you bypass the canopy and head for the pickup car park.

Pedestrian access from the terminal building to the pick up car park takes you across the line of waiting taxis to a usually very empty car park.

Yep. Take a ticket, allowed ten minutes, then use the ticket to get out. This is for departures if you are meeting them there.wedgepat wrote:I'm due to pick up family at the airport soon,if I pick up under the canopy near the terminal do I have to get a ticket at the barrier and then pay to get out?
No barriers at arrivals, yet! However timing is most important as the Thunderbirds are very quick to apprehend you.
If not park in Car park two, opposite departures. Easy Peasy.

Thanks for the information!
