Who is conferring the exalted position of SENIOR MEMBER recently appearing beside certain posters and why?

What are they Senior Members of?

We are special, and like the fact to be pointed out to those who aren't.

Or, it's people who have done 100 posts.

Another 84 posts and you can be special too. or maybe you have something more worthwhile to do.

It is a phpBB default (no doubt came with the last upgrade that left most of us in "debug" land for a couple of days!!), you get it when you have made 100 posts.

Some other phpBB forums, change the default headings and post amounts so you can be a "newbie" or a "god" or some other title indicating the amount (and certainly not the quality - snide remark aimed at myself!) of your posts (one forum I moderate on has the tag "Been here a while").

Anyway hope that explains it, in case you are being selective about which topics you read and haven't picked this info up elsewhere on here.

Maddi :)

p.s. Like others am certainly not chuffed at having the word "senior" anywhere near my name!!!

I have a picture in mind of a Graduation Ceremony with you standing there in Mortar Board and Gown holding your Certificate.

Congratulations!

How nice to have this topic running on both forums!! It's a bit of a joke really isn't it - a bit like the "senior" title itself! Now is this the right forum?

Therein lies the solution - when you are approaching the '100' re-register and give yourself a new lease of life.

It's no different than those who hide beind the 'Guest' id.

apparently it’s all in the software…..we automatically get called something after 100 posts…..and the words “senior member” can be changed to er…. “kool kat” or wotever…….

Maybe for 100 we get a 8)
and for 1000 we get 8) 8) and so on….
