Have the A22 tolls been suspended/cancelled?

As far as I can see online the appropriate law has not been passed yet and no date mentioned

So, will A22 tolls cease on 1 Jan? If so, how much more traffic will go on the motorway? Might be safer to revert to N125!!!

A friend who is in Algarve at moment has told me toll charges no longer apply. The 'price list' has been removed from the gantries at the toll cameras and his transponder no longer beeps.

Yes, I heard that too....hire cars still have transponders for use at airport carparks apparently
