what breakdown cover?

I will be driving down in april and need breakdown cover.
Im not a member of any organisation at the moment and will be keeping my van in the algarve for at least 6months
I have used the AA on other occasions but only for weekend cover.
any suggestions?

When we drove from the uk our europe-wide insurance also covered us for europe-wide breakdown - check with your insurance company in case they include it.

We kept our UK car here for 6 months and used the Norwich Union breakdown cover. It was definitely the cheapest, the AA wanted about £600! We did use them as well and they promise to be out with you within an hour - which they were.
