Getting Married in Carvoeiro

Hi,

My sister wants to get married in CVO next June, but we are having problems finding out about the legalities, I have tried to contact a few CVO.com members who I know have done it, but have received no replies, can anybody help. If it is very complicated, she may consider getting married in a register office in the UK and having a blessing in CVO.

Also she is looking for the perfect venue

She is a bit unothodox and would like maybe a villa with fantastic location or a really nice restaurant, again with nice grounds, anybody got any ideas?
I know you won't let me down

No. I'm not going to be bridesmaid, my 13yr old daughter might be, but only if she can wear and mini-skirt and far too much make-up

I'm sure there will be a place for an 'official best selling author

Anyway love...Im far too old to be a bridesmaid so I had to think up something....
Ill bring along me camera/notebook & pen.........
and a little bottle of something in case Homme Poco thinks its just the drinks I'm after

When friends of ours enquired, they were told they had to have been Portuguese residents for at least three months. This was some time ago, things could have changed!

April is getting married in October in cvo. I think she said something about being there for 4 weeks beforehand.Anyway, she knows a bit about it I think !

why don't you try alvor's church for the wedding and carvoeiro for the reception?

i think the priest in alvor is more liberal, you'll have to give a generous donation to the church tought, the church is very hold and constatly needs maintenance and the priest is in charge of it, and he doesn't get much money from the vatican, ho and a bottle of a good malt whisky, he love's it

My wife and I are rapidly careering towards our second (bakelite?) wedding anniversary, and with the benefit of hindsight, we realise that the most perfect spot in the world for our wedding in 2003 would have been the "Alamo" Church on the East Cliff of Carvoeiro. Every time we've been back to CVO since, we have visited the church to see what we missed.

If your sister wants a truly memorable spot, with not a fag-end or crisp packet in sight, that is the place to have her wedding.

Failing that within the precincts of the lighthouse at Cape St Vincent, the most south-westerly point of Europe. (Well, I had to work Nelson into this post somehow!)
