New to the Algarve.......!!!!

Going out on 17th August for a week with 10 friends ...staying at Monte Dourado.........is it good for surfing in the Algarve......?.....cool bars to visits.....?

The best local place is probably Praia Grande - about 10 minutes drive from Carvoeiro, although I hear Lagos or Luz is the place for surfing.

There are plenty of bars to choose from - Oficina stays open late.
