tag names - meaning?
I think most people know what mine is by now but for any newbies it means "little witch" in Portuguese. "Bruxa" means witch and by putting "inho" (masculine words) or "inha" (feminine words) on the end it makes it smaller (diminutive).
It was a nickname given to me on my arrival in the Algarve by a Portuguese guy I know from Silves. He turned out to be a total ************* (not enough expletive deletives to describe him ) but the name stuck.

I used to be Miss Pearl. Garter 'hyphen' Stitch, till I had the good luck to run into the late Mr Cardigan ( god rest him in his hand-knitted mohair shroud).
He came from a long line of Cardigans dating back to his Lordship Cardigan of the Light Brigade. In fact it was a distant great great great grandmother who first knitted a balaclava and a great great aunt who invented the woolly muffler, after her loving husband Wally told her to " WRAP UP!" at a Christmas family get-together!
Yes, I'm proud to be a cardigan (casually unbuttoned )

What a liar you are. remember this post?
"..like Tricky…my username is a nickname from work…..I spent most of my working life in Special Events / Corporate Hospitality…..I used to amaze colleagues with my ability to find the name of the person at a top city bank or law firm who held the 50,000 pound budget for this years Christmas party or who was in charge of this years jolly weekend away for 200 clients….
…as far as I know Ellie is the only one here who knows my real name…..and its one I like very much….couldn’t have asked for more…."
and I know your real name , don't I?
And I think you were really a gravedigger, but you couldn't take it seriously, so you dropped the grave bit

hahaha ...... remember this:
As one who is descended from a long line of ancient Irish kings, it comes as no surprise to know that my full name, Roderick, means famous ruler.
Now those of you with long memories and who are familiar with imperial measurement will know that a Rod is a unit of length, namely 5.5 yards. Thus Rod, while still being a ruler, is now much less famous.
Incidentally the equivalent name in Japanese is pronounced feeli, which, under the right circumstances could also be an apt description
Because of the large amounts of strong coffee I need to kick start me every morning and also after Bica the Portuguese Water Dog in Len Ports childrens book. I just love those dogs when their owners keep their coats natural (but not when they are given those ridiculous lion cuts )
By the way Ellie, I went along to see Sue at Magna Carta earlier this month to get a copy of your book. A Great read
