Henriëtte; easiest way is to go to the Telecom in Portimão.

They can inform you about everything (in English...) regarding ADSL. Also they have a package with modem, CD-Rom etc. This package is FREE, you only have to pay an entrance fee of € 50,- and then € 39,-/month.

As I started this topic I may as well finish it.

ADSL is now up and running in Ferragudo.

I went to Worten in Portimao and bought a modem for €50, plugged it in, activated it, sent in a form, and a few days later received a text message to say that it was activated. Simple as that. No Portuguese all in English.
