Firemen came from all over the country to help, if you are coming to Carvoeiro, Lagoa is the nearest. All fire services need help, wherever you leave your donation it will be put to good use

50% of the forest in the Algarve has been burnd down, so I hear of a well known citizen of Carvoeiro.

Blobby..... Thanks for all your updates.... some have caused us great concern as owners of a property in Serra de Monchique.
Its very worrying not being there at such a dreadful time not knowing if our house is still ok.

Good news is that some relatives have just arrived and thankfully all is ok at the moment.
We seem to have been very very lucky. The two main outbreaks of fires in recent times have still managed to evade the areas around our property.
We are now concerned (obviously for our families welfare) even though we feel more comforted by their presence.

Coming out in just over a weeks time and will certainly be donating monies to the brave |Bombeiros. They deserve all they get for their efforts.
