January Visit
Hi,
I went to Carvoeiro this Summer and it was so good me and a mate want to go again this January! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it is like this time of year? Are most places open etc? Is it worth going? etc etc.
Thanks very much in advance

The weather in January can be unpredictable - we've had beautiful sunshine one day and torrential rain the next. It will be cold at night though, you really notice it when the sun goes down.
Roughly half the bars and restaurants should be open - some close mid Nov and re-open for Christmas and others stay open until after New Year then close until the end of Feb, but they don't all close at the same time and some don't close at all! There are quite a lot of people around as it is popular for long winter lets and golfers.
I really like Carvoeiro in winter - no crowds and the possibility of nice weather, well better than UK anyway. It's worth trying it as long as you are prepared for the weather being changeable.
