Things to do and car rental - JAnuary

Have been to Carvoeiro twice in the summer, absolutely love the place.
Coming to carvoeiro in January next year (23-25) for a couple of days, as a surprise birthday present for my wife.

Question 1 Are there many restaurants open this time of the year we can go to to celebrate on the Saturday night.

Question 2 We are thinking of hiring a car from YOR car hire, advertised on Carvoeiro.com as Carrental.carvoeiro.org. Is this company reliable and trustworthy as you read so much about rip off car rental companies. If not a good move can anyone reccomend a good car rental company.

Any help advice would be really appreciated
