STORMY WEATHER!!!!

Post by old git's missus »

Looking at the webcam , it looks great in Co. as usual, and the temps are great , oh how I wish I was among you. The weather in the UK has been terrible ,as you are probably aware but I have to say that here in Aberdeenshire it has been a very quiet winter so far , very cold but very dry , its weird when I watch the weather and our wee corner of the UK always seems to just be missing all the terrible storms, I dare say we will pay at some point, anyhoo you all look cosy and reasonably warm in Co, have a good weekend everyone 8) :D

Had real bad storms here in Holland for most of yesterday, really frightening. :( Here in Leiden today it's pretty calm. I'm looking out of my office window on to the Vliet canal with the odd ray of sunshine trying to break through watching the barges quietly float past.
Looked at the web cam yesterday and it looked beautiful in CVO. Roll on March 30th when we are out for 10 days again. 8)

I read that 13 people were killed across the country, one of them a 2 yearold boy who died when a wall collapsed in North London

it was very bad here but we seem to have got off lightly with just some damage to garden fence and few small branches came down..
Its been quiet and sunny here today.

Two panels down at the rear of Chateaux Abbo.

Sadly they are the responsibility of the very offish recent incumbents of the neighbouring spread.

I contacted their estate agents when they were moving in offering a 50/50 gig (despite it being their border) with no reply.

So here's the Abbo Massive infiltrating their territory in the spring

So far so good on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands ( Glenuig between Fort William and Mallaig) blue skies for a change. So far we have had over half a metre of rain this month and gales since Christmas. One or two topping the 100mph mark ( if it ain't tied down, youv'e lost it!) Can't wait to get back to CVO in April... Uh oh,,, it's just started to snow, time to chuck another log on the fire...

lovely part of the world where you are simon, once spent a very drunken weekend in Glenuig (at least 20 years ago), but remember it as a very lovely place, very hevy wintry showers here today, knew it had to come.

Most occurences in Glenuig involve alcohol. Lived there for nearly thirty years now, so I may have been involved in your boozy session at the Glenuig Inn, or not far away! It is a nice part of the world, I sail and golf (handicap's still the ball) so pleanty of scope especially on the sailing side. Have yet to sail on the Algarve... any offers? I will be back in CVO 10th-22nd April and again 27th Sept - 11th Oct :D
