Post by London Ian »

Who provides the cheapest flights over the New Year period?

Best so far is 220 pounds each!

Try Lisbon, our esteemed guests do and it's only about 2.5hrs. All the airlines charge top rate that time of year. You could try varying the day of travel

WE left it later than usual to book our holday flights and they were over £200 each, and that was avoiding the popoular return days afetr new year.

Flights to Faro

I understand the Easy Jet summer flights are coming out earlier than usual
for next year, sometime in November I believe, so we shall all have to keep our eyes open and ready to book if we want to get cheap flights.

We have only just booked for Christmas/New Year - at a cost of £170 for two including luggage and reserved seats - this is flying into Lisbon and back out of Faro. It was £100 cheaper per person that the flight into Faro.

Its strange how things change. We've got lots of relatives in Cascais, just outside Lisbon and it was always cheaper to buy tickets to Faro and drive up, now it seems the opposite is true.
