Not good news if you prefer BA to Easyjet
Not that I would pay for it, but I have noticed that Club Class is always full on BA - not always with the rich but often the older / more infirm travellers.
Unless anyone knows differently I guess that there is no Club Class flight available from the UK to Faro - time for some smaller airline (such as Maxjet) to spot an opportunity?
I just can't see the mega-rich from Vale de Loaded joining the easyjet bunfight!

You might think that but I would disagree - my Father in Law is an ex BA employee entitled to ID90 benefits (i.e. paying only 10% of the price) BUT they have to fly standby - given that BA is very often full this is so risky that in his half a dozen flights a year to Faro he has never actually used it, preferring to pay the proper price for a guaranteed seat!

BA have said they will take over some of the routes (we don't know which!) But at a guess Alicante Malaga and possibly Faro. I, like the majority on here do not like Easyjet and from experience it's like flying on a council estate which I have had to do a few times in the recent past. I also experienced one of the stewards on a easyjet flight deliberately burping down the on board PA. All in all it's a corporate deal that benefits the companies and not the passengers...not happy (as you may have guessed)
As you have probably guessed I share your pain Mike ( and we are not talking about the Addicks efforts again although things are looking up down at the Valley). I sincerely hope that BA apply to the CAA for some slots and compete on the route. I would have thought that the route makes money as the planes are nearly always full whatever the season and which proves the point that there people prepared to pay a premium for choice of service.

I guess it must all depend on where your flight is going to or coming from. I have to say I have never flown with any sort of 'council estate' nor had a 'bunfight' to get a seat. But then again my local airport is Faro and I never fly to Gatwick, so this is totally irrelevant to me in any case, except that from my point of view, easyjet is an excellent airline.
To compensate for the Cranes and their like we will be offering Club class on our Cessna 172 next year to make up for the disappointed BA customers.
We will offer free use of the toilets pre-flight, an extra cushion, choice of Mars or Twix depending on the time of day, improved quality sick bags, priority boarding and post-flight camera retrieval, together with coffee, brandy and vallium post-flight.
All this for only three times the normal cost

I feel that there must be a different standard of employees in the Midlands as the Easy Jet staff are always efficient and polite. We have no complaints and the costs far most realistic than Thomson Fly or Monarch. We have not tried BMI Baby for some time but will be doing at Xmas - so we will be able to compare all airlines. Possibly we are lucky having more choice "North of Watford" than those using Gatwick
