A rather a lot of people, actually Matt :!:

49,138,831 english people for a start (they may not all like football, perhaps they prefer rugby, cricket, athletics, darts, rythmic gymnastics, backgammon or chess - but they do care about England and the UK as a whole)

Well thats up to them Maddi!(i was talkin footie though, not the country) I think the england team and the FA owe the fans alot to be honest, we have one of the top leagues in Europe with the vast majority of English players are in it- yet we are struggling to qualify and recent performances have been tres poor, e.g Macedonia. Also, im sure Sven will be packing his bags tomorow-win or lose tonight, not very commited if you ask me, and I reckon his intentions for england were meerley a career boost after his bad spell at Lazio. Excuse my comments Maddi- they are simply the fustrations of a constantly dissapointed England fan!

I am also a constantly disappointed Torquay United fan :(

Unfortunately I didn't get to be be born in Manchester (read any No.1 ranking Premier League football team in the world) or Brazil, so it is Torquay and England for me.

Nothing you have written is inaccurate, in fact I agree with everything you have said but that won't stop me donning the shirt, raising a glass(well several actually, I have a reputation to maintain), shouting, cheering, booing, defaming the ref, defaming Neville, praying that they won't bring on the donkey and then saying that I have always rated Heskey when he scores and then win or lose - I will feel something, elation, joy, hurt or anger and, yes your choice, disappointment - because you can only "feel" something if you care.

Replying to myself again - tut, tut.

But . . . just remembered the Donkey will probably start alongside Rooney, so at least I wont be bothered about them bringing him on

and . . . Collina is the ref, so maybe not so much defamation there

we'll see

Breaking news - just seen Beckhams attempt at a penalty - he's on the next plane to Australia to help Wilkinson with the conversions

Hi guest

I am sure you have masses of intreresting things to say and I am really looking to reading them but in the meantime . . . Yeah it might have taken 0-0 to get us through but we will be there with knobs/bells on!

Star Wilkinson

TThink Im right in saying England rugby star Wilkinson hasnt missed a conversion or a penalty in his new but brilliant career. He is definitely--given time--in the same class as the Underwood twins.
Sorry to infiltrate the"footie" topic -just trying to drum up enthusiasm for the wonderful game of rugby!

just to keep up my end of the conversation, the Univ. of Texas was handed the worst defeat in the all of the 98 games it has played against the Univ. of Oklahoma...65-13. Texas is not a happy state.....
Oklahoma, on the other hand....

Guest - perhaps there is some relevance - I think you might find that now England have qualified there will be an almighty scramble for people to find accomodation in a fishing village in Portugal for next June when I imagine the whole of Portugal will be a little bit football crazy.

It is also relevant that a fishing village in Portugal has gained from some major investment in the infrastructure of the region as a whole because of the forthcoming tournament.

When you go to the library, do you read all the books or just the ones that interest you? Maybe try logging in, start a topic of interest to yourself and take the forum where you think it should go.

As my mother would say, if you have nothing nice to say to someone, go and talk to someone else.
