Walking group in Carvoeiro

We took the path past boteco and walked west for about 50 mins until we thought it was getting too dark for safety.

it is NOT a walk for anyone with any mobility problems children or without a head for heights, much of it is along narrow barely defined paths which do follow the concrete coastal path markers.
Many of the villas have extended their gardens almost to the cliff edge.
But if you are mobile and a bit adventurous its worth a try.

PS watch out for the dogs.

The walk east past Algar Seco is a lot easier.

Well, I've had my month in Carvoeiro and am now home in Canada. Did not have good internet at our rented apartment. Landlady advertised Wifi but not available except at her back door picnic table. Finally she let us use an unused room on her second floor but I see a few notes on the subject of walking that I did not get a notice about. Nice town, once you get used to it. There is a fabulous walk from Algar Seco, across the clifftop to Centeannes, cross the vally at Centeannes, up behind the Colina Sol hotel, then along the clifftop behind Centeannes, Rocha Brava, past the lighthouse, and continue across the clifftop to Benagil.
Lovely coastal scenary, several blow holes and this time of year lovely wild flowers and the scent of wild thyme.
