Re: Champions League Final
Oh yes you would!!
At 2:30 on Saturday I'll be paying daft money for my beer in Wembley, reminiscing about the semi, and won't be the least bit bothered if you win at Blackburn or not.
Decided where you're watching the CL Final yet? Would like to offer moral support in your battle against those cloggers from Barcelona.

Cant wait for next weds - back to CVO for the 1st time in three years!!!!
Looking forward to lazy days around the pool & on the beach, followed by some good meals & a few beers!!!!
But one thing is especially important on this holiday - where is the best place to watch the 'chosen' team play on sat 28th??
We need to make sure we get the right venue!!!! I dont want to be runnning around at the last minute on saturday evening!!!!
I have previusly watched a few football matches in Brady's Bar & Smilers - are these both still good for the footy???
Cheers in anticipation

Re: Champions League Final
Well bluemoon - happy days indeed. A record 19th title for United and a first trophy for City. Good times in Manchester. The Community Shield in August will be interesting as the Red & Blue of Manchester converge on Wembley.
Going to try The Black Stove for the Premier League final games this Sunday, if okay I will probably watch the Champions League Final in there. It is handy as we are staying in ADM. Are you in CVO for the final?
Lotte, by the "chosen" team do you mean Utd or Barca? Either way, might see you in The Black Stove

Yep, We are in CVO for the Final - But where is the Black Stove?? - Not been to that one before, is it a new Bar?
The 'Chosen' Team is definately Utd!!!! - Although I can't see too much joy against Barca - But you just never know!!!!????
Whatever the result, we'll enjoy the moment & have a few beers!!!!!
Cheers

Hi Lotte. The Black Stove is a relatively new bar. It's on Estrada do Farol, the road towards Aries Dos Moinhos and Rocha Brava (and The Almansor Hotel). It's on the right hand side just before the Barclays Bank.
I spent a few evenings in there last March watching United go out to Bayern Munich. It's okay, but we are spoilt for choice as nearly every bar will show football. The beauty of The Black Stove is th ebig screen. Wherever you are, enjoy Barcelona 1 United 2.

Never mind Saturday 28th May at Wembley, the big game is Saturday 21st at the City of Manchester Stadium. Blue Square play-off final between Luton Town and AFC Wimbledon. Now thats a game of football!
Re: Champions League Final

Could not agree more. I loath the game because of this and all the Hype which goes into this Sport! Nothing but a load of arrogant, spitting idiots as far as I am concerned, which unfortunately is rubbing off on a lot of the people who follow!Gary/Gaynor wrote:well what ever happened to Man U last night, what a bunch of overpaid girlies..

Re: Champions League Final
you are right, if people keep paying stupid money the players will keep taking it...and the game will be littered with play acting, scandalous stories of debauchery, gambling, naughty women, buxom big brother stars .....I gonna get a ticket!DVBRO wrote:Could not agree more.
