Glad you enjoyed it mjh. Don't worry - the next time seems to come round quicker than you think. When we booked in May for Sept.3rd it seemed ages off. But here we are less than two weeks to go and it seems to have come round really quick.
One consolation for you is that Chorley has the marvellous Frederick's ice cream parlours, which we can't resist if we're anywhere near the A6!

Well a year has passed and we are heading back to Carvoeiro!
We had planned to stay in the UK this year but the fact it has rained in Chorley just about every day since March did the trick.
We need some clear blue skies (not to mention piri-piri chicken & beer while sat in the sunshine...).
I hope the last year has been kind to you all and there haven't been too many changes over there. We loved it last time.

It's still the same for most part and very hot, so enjoy your stay, we are off in 3 weeks for a month's stay.

Cheers. Hope you enjoy your holiday too.
We made it to Carvoeiro no problem (Flight from Leeds Bradford even arrived 10 minutes early
) and the weather has been fantastic. Bright sunshine, vivid blue skies and not a single cloud in the sky today.
We went down to the square last night - great fun with the DJ and impromptu dancers until 12:00. Everything as we remembered it last year and we even found the market yesterday. Impressed with the butchers - prices cheaper than I was expecting.
I've just checked the forecast for the next week and it's all looking good

Of course it's looking good, it's bloody August what on earth are you expecting
Re: Goodbye Chorley, Hello Carvoeiro
I wasn't sure what to expect. The altered Jet Stream has completely screwed the weather in the UK this year and I understand affected France & Spain for the worse.
Hopefully no impact here, and it is going to be as good as last year.
Certainly seems that way so far.

I know that indoor market is a god send as even though we have a garage with our apartment, we don't always hire a car for the full stay. tend to pop up there to get fresh veg and the butcher is pretty good too, suits all our needs to be honest. Ok well 2 weeks and 5 days and counting for me. My Gary is out there 5 days before as he has some putting up of pictures to do and generally getting it all ready for when I arrive. Our place is overlooking the square and beach so we get the entertainment every night listening from our balcony and people watch.
