hot stuff
dont want to sound boring but did you know----if you hold the water in your mouth for a few seconds and sloosh it around a bit, it quenches your thirst more effectively-it goes into your glands or something---my yoga teacher told me that!!! keep cool

I read somewhere that holding wrists (hands palm side up) under cold running water helps cool the bloodstream........
Ive tried this(on our very rare hot summer days
) and it works!
Im curious to know ( as I never spend the really hot months in CVO)..do the powers that be still turn the water off when they want to?
I remember that well from our time in residence..
so we always kept several of those huge bottles of water handy on our balcony for such emergencies!

Morning Lesley& Tricks!
Phewwww ..thats some heat youve been getting!!
Raging temperatures and reading of the fires throughout Portugal and those in Southern France, not forgetting recent ones in California..the very strange 'summer ' weather we are experiencing here in UK... doesnt it worry you? The way this is becoming 'the norm'??
BBC TV is broadcasting news items of 'global warming' from different areas over a few days..a report this morning said that within 10 years all mediterranean areas will be shunned during the peak hol summer months because of the extreme heat..heat that will be unbearable..
so looks like 50 is set to become 'the norm'!
I find it all very scary..not simply in a selfish way..but for my kids & grandsons futures....
Yet America.China..Russia & India still refuse to sign up to the Kioto(sorry iof ive spelt that wrong) agreement......
Is the Earth doomed to 'set fire' in some parts..and drown in others?
and is it too late for prevention?
p.s Glad its cooler for you Kteee.best wishes to mum& dad!
