Stacey, think of the peace and tranquillity, not the hustle and bustle of "city" life. Go to the cities for w/e breaks, I find that enough for my country upbringing, I hate cities.
P.S. Only 25 more sleeps for me.

What relevence does this "ChitChat" have in "General Carvoeiro"?
Who cares how far A is from B ?
Who cares how many nights to go - repeated interminably - before you inflict your selves upon us peaceful souls here?
Who cares where and when you are going to drink too much (and then wake us up on your way home with your loud talking and more) ?
OK, I'm feeling grumpy this morning - but Pato does not have sole rights to grumpiness :>)

Re: Here i come!!
Only 6 more nights in this hot, windless atmosphere with lots of tourists making it impossible to park, paying over the odds (€7.50 should be tops for a 3 course meal with wine and coffee), drinking too much ice cold beer, taking up all the space on the beach etc., etc., etc., before I go on my holidays to beautiful Cornwall with pasties, real ale, cricket, fresher atmosphere etc.
Keep watching folks - tomorrow I will report that it is only 5 nights to go and Truro is only 20 miles from Penzance

Re: Here i come!!
€7.50 will just about cover the cost of a cornish pastie in Cornwall at the height of the season I should think.
We use to holiday in Cornwall when I was a child, it was full of strange people in plastic poncho's. One of the reasons I love the Algarve is because the coastline reminds me of Cornwall but with sunshine.
(Apologies for going off topic)

Re: Here i come!!
we were taken to the Isle of Wight as children, the ferry ride from Portsmouth gave us the effect that we were going abroad; we were put in the family room adjacent to the pub and given a bottle of coke & a packet of crisps, the one with a bag of salt that you shook over the crisps
