wow what a price
UK site rates £5 p/hr ! peanuts=monkeys etc etc
Our skilled workers (trades) are paid a minimum £10 p/hr on the cards, and cost in 20% for nat ins,hol pay etc + £3-4 p/hr for a vehicle on top. Skilled labourers (not eastern european unskilled, lazy and often thieving t*ss*rs, who are now banned from all my sites) are paid £7.50+ p/hr. These are not the best rates out there and you certainly wouldn't get a real chippy for that in london.
A decent tradesman should be able to earn £150 per day on price or target work - and by a good tradesman I do not mean someone who once read the readers digest do-it-yourself manual or went to evening classes for 10 weeks at a college thinking he could be a plumber (I've had'em!).
Every person who works on my sites are UK and OK, citb safety trained and can mostly complete their work unsupervised if necessary.
You do not get that for £5 p/hr.

yes so reasonable
might be alright in london where wages are high but frankly seeing a Saga pop singing group like Roxy Music who at last weeks Berlin sounded like they needed resperators ..paying here over 200 euros is toooooooo much.
with ref to an earlier posting about someone saying ALL eastern europeans are so and sos ...well that sounds like racism to me..and descrimation to say that WILL not be employed is also job descrimiination
please remember that the former sovet union put men into outer space, buillt space stations,, MIG 23 jets ...won many Nobel prizes....hardly a poor record now is it???

Martin do you actually WANT to go and see Roxy music? You never mentioned that in your posts. I think that would be the deciding factor on whether you spend 200 euro or not.
I think you should save your money - I saw Bryan's idiotic fox slaughtering son on question time (WHY??!
) the other night. By buying the tickets you might be helping to send his younger children through public school to become equally chinless wonders.

yes would like to see them if the tickets cost 20 euros and a meal was also 20.
the cost of 200 is a ticket and meal is a disgrace.
me thinks it would be better to hire a dvd of them,,,show it on a big screen and order a frango pirri piri para fora at 5 euros a kilo and sit at home and watch..the rest of the money could be given to help someone really in need in africa

Quite right !!,
As the profile of ex pats living in the algarve is changing so obviously the cost of living becomes more important.
Maybe a few years ago there were many retirees in index linked pensions
who made the move , but today in the future it will be those of us who rely on a combination of Pensions ( after Gordon has taken his share ) and savings.
Our world is changing and we must change with it
