Re: looking for love, maybe
Really Cowboy....funny how people forget the smallest of itemscowboy wrote:Ya know, David, if you were a drummer, you wouldn't have to post something like this....all you would have to do is simply walk into the bar and the aura of Rythmic Righteness would shine 'round you and draw the lovely, lonely ladies to your side with no effort on your part.Anonymous wrote:Coming out this thursday to r/brava until 27th december on my own.
So if you see a fortieish handsome male sitting on his own at mealtimes it might just be me. Last time I came out was seven years ago and liked it, again on my own. Is the weather going to be good?
I am not attached and I will be looking for plenty fun and drinks and chat and who knows......
(of course, being from Texas doesn't hurt either)

Sorry I have taken so long to reply but I have been up all night packing ( getting really excited about my holiday now ) the essentials into my suitcase. You know - precautionary things like bug spray!!
Err ehmmm..... thinking perhaps I have bitten off more than I can chew ( pardon the expression) here.
I am starting to feel a wee bit overawed ( even for a connery).
Is there a bar across the road from Anteak bar or near were I can get a first hand glimpse of you all. I need to build up some confidence before I come in. I get the impression that some of you lovely confident ladies could suck me in and spit me out (or is it chew me up and spit me out). I can't even think straight.
I am getting really nervous ( or intimidated - I really don't know which) about this now. From what was simply a request to meet someone quietly for a chat - I feel the whole of Carvoeiro will be waiting for me at the anteak bar. I am afraid I am going to let some people down. I do wear glasses but not all the time. And I am becoming follickly challenged but not so much that you would say - god he is really baldy! It's modern to have short hair isn't it?
Maybe I should cut my losses and carry on to lagos or lagoa were I won't feel paranoid. Then again, once I have a couple of Brandies I am sure I will face the audience so to speak.
I look forward to buying you all a drink. ( what a silly thing for a scotsman to say).

Hey David, since I have been gone it looks as though you have gathered yourself a bit of a following
We fly in on Friday, so we miss this Thursday's meet up. However, if you have not managed to fix yourself up with that floozy Cleopatra Cardigan woman I am sure we could meet you for a drink at Sully's sometime! Don't be afraid we really don't bite....unless you ask us too

You won't believe this! My friend Larry has just broken off from his fiancee. Larry lives in Glasgow and I live in Edinburgh. He has asked if he can come out to Carvoeiro with me. I was not so sure as he is a very good chatter upper and I am not. So he might steal my thunder. But I guess a friend is a friend and I have agreed to let him come with me. So now there are two. He has more hair than me although mine is thinning it is very dark. I will probably be wearing my black shorty leather coat.
See you all soon in the anteak at around 8 - 9pm. Thursday. David.
