Christmas/ New Year entertainment
Re: Christmas/ New Year entertainment
Portuguese traditional Christmas fare is boiled goat & cabbage, personally I'd rather have our roast turkey & all the trimmings.
Last year A Vela offered a choice of menu & it was delicious, this is for New Years Eve not Christmas, we're booked for this year so hope it's as good.

EMM if you are referring to Kerry Katona she is not a scouser.
Colleen Nolan a nearly Scouser? Just a matter of some 56 miles separates Liverpool and Blackpool !
You can come round to ours Pato, proper traditional Christmas food and crackers

If she sounds like a scouser, she is a scouser to us effete southerners.

If the current thunder, lightning and torrential rain continues - Noah's Ark will need to be available
Re: Christmas/ New Year entertainment
I think quite a few places close in November/December , but then reopen for Christmas/New Year...so fingers crossed.
Re: Christmas/ New Year entertainment
I hope so, we've already booked!

Hi Blue
If you have booked, do you know what menu/drinks are?

Well, we never got to CVO for NYE in the end, as Sue was ill on the night before our flight took off. What did we end up missing please?

Re: Christmas/ New Year entertainment
There is no comparison with the previous Primavera - it has been completely renovated in the modern sense and has a much improved ambience. It is spacious and airy with a lot of all-round terrace
It is being run by Domingos - previously the co-owner of Villa Medici with Paulo back as the Maitre D and his team - its a delight. The menu is the trattoria style and on NYE it was cleverly spaced out to provide 4 courses and made for a very enjoyable evening
