Re: Here i come!!
My parents used to live near Penzance - June onwards got full of tourists, nowhere to park, prices went up, caravans everywhere and rain!roy4eyes wrote:Only 6 more nights in this hot, windless atmosphere with lots of tourists making it impossible to park, paying over the odds (€7.50 should be tops for a 3 course meal with wine and coffee), drinking too much ice cold beer, taking up all the space on the beach etc., etc., etc., before I go on my holidays to beautiful Cornwall with pasties, real ale, cricket, fresher atmosphere etc.![]()
Keep watching folks - tomorrow I will report that it is only 5 nights to go and Truro is only 20 miles from Penzance
They lived in Goldsithney which is only 2 miles from Marazion which is only 2 miles frm Penzance which is only 5 miles from Lizard Point.
Enjoy your hols!

Where does Roy think he is going to get a 3 course meal with a drink and coffee for under £7.00 in Cornwall , the UK,s most popular and crowded holiday destination.
Forcast for this weekend up to 30degrees in some places in the UK, hotter than Africa !!

Only 5 more sleeps before I leave this hot place with cloudless skies and piripiri on everything - I'm so excited
To keep to a CVO theme - can anyone tell me how far CVO is from Lands End (as the crow flies) so I can have a souvenier photo taken at the famous signpost there ?

Only 4 nights to go now and my heart is pounding with the excitement of it all - will my hand luggage fit in the Ryanair basket, will the sea be too cold for me, will I starve because the cost of eating out is so expensive, will I be able to afford all the parking fines ............................... Oh sod it, I'm getting bored with taking the p--s out of those who use what should be an information board for their own silly tittle-tattle which should be in ChitChat.
I will say "Hello" to the Cornish piskies for those of you trying to find a place on CVO beach or get a table in Happy's

Hey Roy, hope you get an internet connection in the tin mines, going to miss the abuse
Re: Here i come!!
Sorry - can't hear you because of my tinnitis
Re: Here i come!!
Roy how can you contain yourself ! 4 sleeps to go - then you will be back in the wild UK, bring plenty money as everything is so expensive, bring a begging bowl just in case you run out of dosh. Remember to be indoors by 9pm as the streets are unsafe after that time and the police don't care they are too busy looking for speeding drivers.
p.s. Don't forget your vest tee shirts, union jack shorts and knotted hanky for your head - you need to fit in with the locals like......
